Tinder’s Passport Feature Matches You With Anyone In The World Right Now For Free

One would assume that dating right now is impossible during the quarantine. Tinder begs to differ. Let’s talk about how to find your new #QuarantineBae.

Tinder announced Thursday, April 2nd, that it will be activating its Passport feature for FREE. Tinder typically only offers this feature at a paid level, and is only available to Gold & Plus members but now anyone can match with anyone in the world and find that forever love.

“As parts of the world went into quarantine, members began Passporting into those countries.  Rates of Passport use were up over the last week of March in Brazil: 15 percent, Germany: 19 percent, France: 20 percent and India: 25 percent,” Tinder said in a company statement.

Here’s How It Works

So here are the details: Members can search by city (wherever they want to explore) and change their location to match up with people from that location. This can be the next state over or across the world. People from Los Angeles can connect with people in the United Kingdom and so on and so forth. The only downside is that your matches can only talk to you if your settings say that you are still in their city. Users also can only explore one city at a time.

In order to obtain this feature, make sure your app is completely up to date for both iOS and Android users. More information about the Tinder Passport feature can be found here.
